THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION UNIT completed the 3 Day RTI Training for Government agencies in Luganville on the island of Santo on Friday the 14th of June. 

JUST AFTER THE Right To Information Unit held the Right To Information Training for 25 officers from various government agencies, the Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration (commonly known as the Government Training Center) introduced Records & Information Management as a session in their induction program for new intakes and interns for the pubic service.

A FULL HOUSE at the RTI Awareness Session for the Secretary Generals of the Provincial Governments and the Town Clerks of Municipalities held at the SHEFA conference room organised by the Department of Local Authorities.

A THREE DAY extensive training on the role of Right To Information Officers for Vanuatu Public officers is currently well-underway at the Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration and Management (VIPAM) in PORT Vila. It was officially opened by the former deputy chairperson of the Rights To Information Steering Committee, Evelyne Toa on Wednesday.  

THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION Unit will be conducting a training program for the Government Right To Information Officers starting next month. A total of 3 training's will be implemented; from the 22nd to the 23rd of May the first training will take place in Lenakel on the island of Tanna followed by two other training's in Port Vila and Luganville.

The Right To Information Unit was established in 2015 under the Office of the Government's Chief Information Officer, the Unit was then transferred to the Department of Strategic Planning, Policy & Aid Coordination in 2016.
