The National Implementation Plan was developed to guide the administration of the Right to Information policy and legislation in Vanuatu, the Plan will continue to be utilised by users as a guide in the implementation of Right to Information in Vanuatu.

Enforcement Orders of the RTI Act

Right to Information was implemented over a period of two and half years in three phases, the Implementation process was accomplished in September of 2019 when Prime Minister Charlot Salwai signed the final enforcement of the RTI Act therefore admitting all government agencies, statutory bodies and other relevant entities to abide by the RTI Act.

The Right To Information Unit was established in 2015 under the Office of the Government's Chief Information Officer, the Unit was then transferred to the Department of Strategic Planning, Policy & Aid Coordination in 2016.
